Joan – What do you mean, take charge of your life?
People need to take charge of their own lives without letting external forces such as negative people and events send them off track causing a life filled with stress. Take charge of your physical health and your social health.
What does taking charge of your physical health mean?
Take charge of eating, sleep, and exercise. This means having a healthy nutrition lifestyle by eating the right food in the right amount at the right time and prepared in a healthy manner. This means eight hours of sleep every night, six hours to recharge your brain energy, and two hours for kindness and doing what’s right. This means one hour of exercise every day by mixing it up with aerobic exercise, weights, yoga, and classes. Take charge of these three components for optimal health.
Are there other physical health requirements for taking charge of your life?
There are four more. Take charge of managing your illness or injury. This means taking a positive approach by knowing you can manage the situation. Learn everything you can about the disease, learn the diagnostic and treatment options, monitor the process, and learn self-healing through breathing and visualization. Two, learn something new every day. Three, experience slow alpha-brainwave meditation time every day. Four, take charge of your posture with chin straight, eyes forward, shoulders down, and back straight. Say welcome with palms out.

Why aren’t people in charge of their lives?
People spend too much time thinking about themselves from the stress center. They don’t accept and like who they are. They’re trying to be someone else.
What do you mean?
If you’re thinking about yourself and trying to be someone else, then you’re not in control of your life. The more you think about yourself, the less control you have. Being in control of your life is healthy giving you a life filled with accomplishments, extraordinary people, and happiness.
What are examples of losing control of your life?
You lose control of your life when you try to please others, want people to like you, or try to be someone else or your job title. You lose control with too much anger and stress. You lose control worrying and feeling guilty. You lose control with bad health habits such as poor nutrition, alcohol, and drugs. You lose control complaining, criticizing, and making excuses. You lose control by not taking the consequences of bad outcomes from your decisions and responsibilities. You lose control by not taking the consequences of being your true authentic self.
What do you need for taking charge of your life?
You need to know who are, accept who you are, and like who you are. You need strong self-confidence and be kind to yourself.
Could you give an example?
Consider excuses. There are no excuses. Take charge of your life. Tell the truth and take the consequences. If an apology is needed, then repeat what you did wrong, explain why it is wrong, and ask what you can do to fix it.
